Project Overview

We Play Together! is a an Erasmus+ Youth Cooperation Partnership project with the aim of supporting the social inclusion of displaced Ukrainian youth within local communities through sport and increasing the receptiveness of the grassroots sport sector to welcome migrant and refugee youth in the Baltic-Polish region.

The project will build the capacity of social inclusion through sport programmes in the region to offer higher quality opportunities for more disadvantaged youth. Youth will benefit their social, mental and physical well-being and build bridges within the local community.

The project will expand existing grassroots sport programmes in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland with focus on reaching out to Ukrainian communities, train staff working with youth and provide them with the educational materials. As part of international peer-learning, sport staff will go to study visits to all partnering countries and compile all of the learnings of the sport sector together into a practical guide for the sport sector. Youth will have a chance to design and implement their own activities as part of a 500+ participant sport festival in Lithuania in July in 2023.
