Synthesis of the case study

Within the baseline study, the SPIN Network published a research to analyse the situation concerning the equal access for migrants and minorities in sports. It covers the large area of grassroot sports and focuses on volunteering and the active engagement of migrants in sports. Focusing on case studies from three different European countries - Italy, Hungary and Germany - it draws conclusions regarding successful strategies and recommendations. Experiences in the practical work of minorities and migrant volunteers in sport clubs are also featured in the research. The document shares examples of sport clubs and initiatives across Europe working in the field of sport and inclusion, and it includes views from experts of sport clubs, clubs for refugees and asylum seekers, minority and volunteer organizations, sport associations and social scientists.
